We aim to dispatch all orders within a maximum of 3 working days, and often dispatch within 24 hours of your order being placed. You will receive a confirmation email when we’ve posted your order.
  • How do I look after my candle/wax melts/diffuser safely?
    * Trim your wick before burning so the flame doesn't smoke, flicker or rise too high. * Never leave your candle (or tea light oil buner) burning unattended. * Keep open flames away from any drafts. * Never light diffuser reeds (diffuser reeds passively diffuse the scent into the room, so no flame is needed). * Keep your candle/oil burner/diffuser out of reach of children and pets. * Be sure your candle/oil burner is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface. * Ensure you wipe any residual oil from the bottom of your diffuser bottle before placing it on a protected, level surface. * Wash hands immediately if they come into contact with your diffuser oil. * Place burning candles at least 10cm apart from one another. * Never touch or move a burning candle or oil burner when the wax is liquid. * Don’t burn your candle all the way down - leave 1cm of wax in the bottom of the container. * Use a snuffer to avoid hot wax splattering, and never use water to put out the flame.
  • How long should I burn my candle for?
We recommend burning your natural soy candle for a maximum of 4 hours at a time. This ensures that the wax melts all the way to the edge of the container and will help prevent your candle from “tunnelling”, or burning a hole down the center of the candle while leaving a ring of un-melted wax along the inside of the container. For best results, let your candle cool for at least 2 hours before relighting.
  • Can I reuse my candle container?
Yes! There are a number of easy methods for removing candle wax from containers, which allows for you to reuse them. We recommend removing the wax by putting your candle on a radiator for 15 minutes. This will allow the wax to start melting, making it possible to gently scrape the remaining candle wax out of the container. Our wicks are stuck to the bottom of the container with adhesive to ensure they remain central, and can be removed from the base with a little persuasion. Once out, run your container under warm water and use a little washing up liquid to scrub out any remaining wax.
  • Why is the surface of my candle bumpy after burning?
This is completely normal for 100% soy wax candles. The rough, bumpy tops after burning a soy wax candle are caused when the hot wax in the melt pool cools and solidifies at an inconsistent rate; this is unavoidable for soy wax as opposed to other types such as paraffin. The impact is cosmetic only, and does not affect the scent or performance of your candle!
  • How long do your wax melts last for?
There are a number of factors that contribute to the length of time you'll get fragrance from your wax melts, such as the size of your oil burner, how big the room is, etc. On average, we've found that 10g of wax results in a fragrance time of at least 10 hours. Why 10g? That's the approximate weight of our standard wax melts (small hearts, shells, etc.). This means that for a standard 6 pack of wax melts, you should have a fragrance time of around 60 hours, which is excellent value for money!
  • How can I tell when my wax melt needs changing?
In container candles, the candle wax is consumed as the wick burns. You know your candle is finished because there will be very little/no candle left! With wax melts, the wax isn't exposed to an open flame, and doesn't 'disappear' as a result. Instead, you measure whether the wax melt still has use by checking the scent after burning. Wait until the wax has solidified and then give it a good sniff - if it still has fragrance, it still has use!
  • How do I change my wax melt?
To remove the existing wax from your tea light oil burner, simply light a tea light under it as normal and watch it for 30 seconds. You should then be able to slide the wax out with little/no mess! We strongly recommend extinguishing your tea light before trying to remove the wax in case it gets jostled. The aim is to heat the wax enough that it loosens slightly, but not so much that it starts to become liquid. Once out, simply give the top of your oil burner a quick clean with warm, soapy water, pat dry, and your ready to start your next wax melt!
  • How do reed diffusers work?
Reed diffusers works by soaking up the scent in your diffuser oil. The oil travels from the place where the reeds meet the oil, to the opposite end of the reed which is exposed to the air. The scent is then released as it evaporates. Unlike candles, reed diffusers are flame free and do not require any heat. They disperse scent into the air naturally.
  • How do I use an reed diffuser?
First time using an reed diffuser? No worries, we've got you covered. 1) Place your diffuser bottle on a clean, flat surface. We recommend covering the surface to protect it from any stray diffuser oil drops. Ideally, this surface should be the surface you'd like the diffuser to remain on. Don't worry if that's not possible, just be careful with step 4! 2) Pour your diffuser oil directly into the diffuser. You can pour the whole bottle in, or just part (completely up to you). 3) Put your diffuser reeds into the diffuser bottle. 4) If you've not assembled your diffuser where you'd like it to 'live', now's the time to move it. Carry the diffuser with one hand on the bottle, and one hand on the reeds/diffuser flower - this should help avoid the reeds/flower falling out when being transported. 5) Clean up any spilled droplets and thoroughly wash your hands if they've come into contact with any diffuser oil.
